- Pumpkin sound hunt. Write a letter on each of several paper "pumpkins." Child hops to the pumpkin that matches a sound you say aloud.
- Ghost word build. Write one letter of a word on each of 3-4 paper "ghosts," scatter them, child puts them in order and reads the word.
- Spooky I-Spy. "I spy something starting with /w/" (web, witch) — same format as regular I-Spy, seasonal vocabulary.
- Trick-or-treat blending. Say a word slowly, sound by sound ("b-a-t"); child "unlocks the treat" by blending it correctly.
