How to use it

1. Look at the word and notice the tricky part (ai in "said").
2. Say it and sound it, then write it from memory.
3. Check against the printed word.
4. Use each word in a sentence out loud.

Watch out for

• Said is read "sed" — the ai here doesn't say its usual sound, so point to it as the tricky part.
• Their and there sound the same; practice them on different days and use them in different sentences.
• Writing from memory is the key step — copying straight from the printed word skips the learning.
