How to use it
- Before reading, point at the two letters of the digraph and say its one sound together: "s-h says /sh/."
- Your child reads the word as sound chunks — sh-i-p, three sounds, not four.
- Flip to check with the picture.
- Once sh and ch are both known, mix them: ship/chip and shop/chop are the classic mix-ups.
