Blending Practice Worksheet (Free PDF)

Blending made visible: each word is written sound by sound with dashes, and the child's job is to push the sounds together and write the word they hear.

How to use it

1. Say each sound, then say them again faster, until the word pops out.
2. Write the whole word on the line.
3. If a word won't come, say the sounds yourself quickly and let your child repeat.
4. Do page 1 in Stage 3, page 2 once digraphs are taught, page 3 after the consonant-blend lessons.
