A light five-minutes-most-days tracker for winter break, with a word of the day to sound out and use in a sentence.

What’s inside

  • An instructions page: 5 minutes most days, not every day.
  • A tracker page with a numbered row per day, a word of the day (1: gift, 2: star…) and a Done box.

How to use it

  1. Read the day's word together: sound it out, blend it.
  2. Use it in one sentence.
  3. Swap in your own words if the printed one is too hard or too easy.
  4. Tick the box — missing a day is fine.

Watch out for

  • Skipping days is built in — aiming for every single day tends to end the streak early.
  • If the word of the day is too hard, swap it for one your child can read; the goal is keeping skills warm.
  • Five minutes means five: stop while your child still wants more.

Who it’s for
