How to use it
- Your child reads the short word on the front: "kit."
- Flip the card. Point to the e and say: "the e is silent, but it makes the vowel say its name."
- Read the new word together: "kite."
- Play it in reverse: show the long word, cover the e with a finger, read the short word.
