How to use it
- Start with one vowel's eight cards — short a is the easiest to hear.
- Your child reads the front, then flips to check the picture. A wrong guess shows up straight away.
- Once two vowels are solid, shuffle them together: now the vowel sound really matters (bag vs big).
- Use three cards as a mini sentence builder: cat + sat + mat.

Ages 4–6, once all five short vowels and most single consonants are known (late Stage 2 into Stage 3 blending).
