Handy for checking the list fits your child before printing, or for making your own games.

bog, jog, log, cob, lot, cod, mob, cog, mop, cop, not, cot, pop, dog, pot, dot, rob, fog, rod, fox, rot, got, sob, hog, sod, hop, top, hot

How to use it

  1. Say /o/ as in on before starting.
  2. Blend and write each word; draw a quick picture next to any word your child likes.
  3. Read the list back aloud.
  4. Note: in American speech short o sounds like "ah"; in British speech it's rounder. Either is right — use the accent your child hears every day.
