A 30-box chart to color in after each practice session, with small built-in rewards every five boxes.

What’s inside

  • Name and goal lines (goal: 30 sessions).
  • Thirty numbered boxes in six rows of five.
  • The rules printed at the bottom: every 5 boxes = 5 bonus minutes of free-choice reading; a full chart = pick tonight's book or a small prize.

How to use it

  1. Let your child write their name and decorate the chart.
  2. Color or sticker one box after each session — effort counts, not perfection.
  3. Honor the bonus reading time every five boxes.
  4. Start a new chart when this one is full; keep the old ones to look back on.

Watch out for

  • Reward practice, not correct answers — a chart for right answers can make a child avoid hard words.
  • Bonus reading time works better than toys as a reward, because it builds the habit you want.
  • Don't take boxes away for a bad day; the chart only counts up.
